Autumn is here!
With fall upon us, it’s time to remember to add more warm foods and drinks into our diets. My garden is still bursting with vegetables and fruit….tons of kale, tomatoes, squash, broccoli and raspberries. While we eat these foods daily, we are also cooking them and freezing them for the time when we no longer have fresh, organic food in the back yard. Soups, stews, hot teas and baked dishes will soon replace cold salads and ice teas made in the sun.
Our bodies also respond to the change in temperatures. Cooler temperatures can cause some aches and pains while we adjust to the change in seasons. I try to warm up and stretch a bit more before and after my workouts.
Massage therapy can be very helpful in assisting our bodies to have increased blood flow and more supple muscles.
